Local Kitchen Co. Supports NDIS & HCP Participants - Here's how:

At Local Kitchen Co., we are dedicated to ensuring that everyone can enjoy affordable, locally crafted, and nutritious meals. That's why we have tailored our services to cater to the unique needs of National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and Home Care Package (HCP) participants.


NDIS Participants

The NDIS guidelines permit eligible participants to access meal preparation services as part of their funding. Since the cost of ingredients is not covered, we make it possible for you to claim back 70% of the meal cost, in addition to the delivery fee. The approval process is simple and one-time (outlined below), and once you're set up, there's no further effort required.


How does it work?

If your account is Plan Managed, our chefs only charge 30% of the meal cost upfront, and we handle the administrative tasks and liaise with your Plan Manager, so you can relax and leave the rest to us.


For Self-Managed accounts, our chefs will provide you with an NDIS-approved invoice, which allows you to claim back 70% through your online Portal.


HCP Participants

For HCP participants, we follow a similar approach by only charging 30% of the meal cost upfront. We take care of the administrative tasks and communication with your Care/Plan Manager, eliminating any additional steps. The approval process is straightforward and outlined in the how-to guide below.


How does it work?

If you are on a Self-Managed plan, when you place your order, you'll be asked to pay only 30% of the meal cost upfront. We will then coordinate with your Care/Plan Manager to recover the remaining balance seamlessly.
